  • Can we stroke or feed the horses?

    No.  It is forbidden to go near the horses, they are pedigree race horses in training and must not be interferred with at all. 

  • What are the arrival / departure times?

    Check-in is between 3pm and 7pm.  If you're going to be later than this, please call us.


    No access is given before 3pm on check-in days to allow the cleaners to do their work.


    Please call 30 minutes prior to your arrival so we can let you on to the site.


    Check-out is by 10am

  • Are there toilet and shower facilites

    Each tent has it's own private allocated bathroom unit comprising of a compost loo and eco shower.  There is also a washing up sink with drinking water just outside each unit.

  • Can I bring my dog?

    Up to 2 well behaved dogs per tent are allowed subject to a £25 per dog fee, payable at the time of booking.  Please add this extra in the shopping cart when you book. Cleaning up after your dog is your responsibility.  Please see our dog policy for further information.

  • Can I park next to my tent?

    No.  There is a designated parking area at the  edge of the field but in order to keep our fields safe and in good condition, parking is not allowed next to the tents and cars are not allowed onto the camping field.


    If you need assistance carrying your things for the short walk to the tents, please ask us at the time of booking.   


    If you have particular mobility needs, please contact us for special arrangements.


  • When do you open and close?

    We are open from Easter until the first week of October.

  • Are campfire allowed?

    Camp fires are positively encouraged!  Each tent is equipped with a fire pit and BBQ which must be used at least 7 metres away from the tent.  Logs, kindling and firelighters are available to order as extras at the time of booking and we can deliver extras during your stay if you run out.

  • Can I bring a disposable BBQ?

    No, these are banned onsite and must never be used.  We provide a BBQ and also the charcoal, though you are welcome to bring your own charcoal.

  • What is the price per night?

    Prices start from £105 per night but please check the website for your choses dates.  Follow us on Facebook for discount offers.

  • Is there electricity or wifi?

    No, we are off-grid and hope you can leave your devices at home.  We can provide mobile phone charging packs on request in advance.

  • Can we bring our caravan / tent /campervan?

    Unfortunatley we cannot accomodate additional camping of any kind on site.

  • Are there rubbish bins and recycling facilities on site?

    As an eco site, we really encourage you to take your rubbish home with you, this helps keep our prices down.  However, we do provide recycling and rubbish facilities to use where needed, you are asked to sort your own rubbish in to the correct bins.  Please take large items home with you.

  • I need to cancel my booking! What can I do?

    If you need to cancel your booking, get in touch with us as soon as possible.  Our cancellation policy is detailed in our important information and terms and conditions documents.

  • What are the terms and conditions?

  • Where can we walk onsite?

    Customers of Freespirit Glamping are ONLY allowed on the glamping field and must not access any other parts of the site.  It is a working stud farm and we ask everyone to keep well away from all other fields, tracks and access points.

  • Can we bring a speaker / play music?

    In 2025 we are trialling allowing people to bring their bluetooth speakers so long as you use them very quietly next to your tent.


    Loud music can disturb the horses and other customers, the residents of the farm house and other guets onsite, so we ask that you are respectful of this and keep it quiet.


    No music after 11pm please.
